Dark Room Work.
I chose images from a photo shoot to create digital negatives and darkroom prints from them. To create the negatives I will use Photoshop.
I will produce test strips from my negatives before doing my final prints.
After this I will then experiment with some different techniques such as: alternative processes of applying developing chemical, scratching into negatives or experimenting with Photoshop.
These are the 3 images I chose for this brief.
To create the negative this screen shot shows how I used the special tool on Photoshop called ‘Black and white’ which allow me to change the colour of the image to black and white. To use the tool I clicked on the tab at the top called ‘Image’ then ‘Adjust’ then select ‘Black and white’
This screen shot shows I went on the same path to tools from the previous image but selected the ‘invert’ which changed the colour by swapping over the black and white areas to create bright black and white, kind of like an x-ray look.
In this photo it show that I went on the tool tab ‘Adjustment’ which allow me to choose a tool from set of multiple tools. I then chose the tool ‘Curves’ which allow me to change the brightness/contrast for the effect that took place on the image.
In this image it shows that I’m changing the height of the line on the curves tool which let me choose the brightness/contrast of the black and white to stop the negative from appearing too grey.
I repeated this process for the other two images.
