Photo shoot 1

In this experiment I had a plastic tank filled with water. I then added a little pinch of brusho, this was to make a coloured effect in the water. I then used the autofocus mode on the camera to help me find the right focus to shoot the picture. In the first couple of photos you can clearly see that there is some flash that reflected off the plastic tank, I fixed this problem by turning the flash off and I also put some white card behind the box so it wouldn’t be disturbed by other objects in the background.

This was the first shot of the photo shoot. I must admit it wasn’t as good as I hoped. What I didn’t liked about this photo was that the plastic tank reflected the flash from the camera which was harder for me to see the image, also there was some water drips over the tank which is disturbing the main focus of the image. I fixed this problem by turning off the flash which meant that the camera went onto a different mode where it didn’t use the flash. This also give me the idea that I could do something to avoid the visibility of the background. I could use a white or black blank card and place them behind the plastic tank to avoid the transparent look.

In this photo it shows that I have added a different colour brusho in the water, it didn’t work as well as I hoped because the blue brusho kind of disturbed the red brusho because it was kind of too dark and it just took over the main focus of the image. But in the end the image was quite appealing.

In this photo I would say I prefer this one than the other one.  The colours of the brusho are less dark which is less likely to disturb the focus of the image. I prefer this image as I feel it has worked much better than the first one. What I have learnt is that I now should use lighter colour brusho instead of dark ones.
